Default A Personal Best.

Hi!!

I just finished picking some tomatoes including my personal best thus far; 2 lbs 4.9 oz from one of my Big Zac plants.

The funny thing is this is from the plant I'm allowing as many tomatoes to grow as possible.

My monster is continuing to grow as the only tomato on the other Big Zac plant and is notably larger than this one.

It's certainly huge, looks like it will taste great too.

No doubt there will be lots of seeds to be saved from that one. Thanks for sharing

Congratulations, that is a huge tomato. I have never had one get that large but have had several get just slightly over or under 2 lbs. I could never figure out how to slice those monsters and they usually ended up in a sauce pot after some serious tasting. This year I had no monsters.

We picked a twenty-ounce Kosovo a couple of days back...my wife sliced it across for jalapeno and cheese stuffed burgers for tonight's dinner, and she wound up with FIVE nice slabs that completely covered burger and bun. Wow. One tomato for five burgers...Kosovo just went on my 'grow every year' list.

Julia - beautiful! And you're so very proud, and rightly so! I'm not so sure as NGGrant that it will taste great, so you'll have to let us know!

great job Julia! I have an unknown tomato growing that has only produced a few fruits, but each of them has been 28 oz. and actually, very tasty. It amazes me that tomatoes can grow that big lol...

I just wish they would stay ROUND and get that big !
