How do you afford Actinovate? Holy cow!
Putting together the ingredients for my spraying regimen next year, and Actinovate seems to be hugely costly - $20 for 2 grams! How much of this stuff do you need?

Ami (Ted) can tell you better than I how much a small grower needs. I got the larger 18 oz bag for my large greenhouse. I didn't quite us it all up by making it into a 200 gal of water that we use to water my 2 greenhouses full of plants.
Check out these 2 sites. I think they are actually the same company with 2 sites. The first link has the small packet. The second link has the large package at a great price. It was so great that I was afraid it might have been out of date stuff but it wasn't. I only made 1 application at a time I was having some problems and it did seem to stop the issues right away. http://www.intertechserv.com/organic...20supplies.htm http://www.prolawnsystems.com/plant_...e_controls.htm Carol |

The cheapest place I found to buy it is on ebay. There is a seller called "hydrotoyou" who sells it for:
1. one 2 oz. packet for $16.49 (free shipping) 2. two 2 oz. packets for $29.99 (free shipping) Whatever you do, don't buy it too far in advance. It is a "dated" product. |

A 2 oz. packet covered my needs for the whole season with some left over. How much you need depends on the disease pressures and the number of plants you need to inoculate over the season. |

Thanks to all for your info on where to buy this precious stuff. I did not know that the 2 ounce packet would produce 28 gallons of mix.
My spraying regime will be this: Day 1: Actinovate molassas mix Day 6: Daconil spray Day 11: Actinovate molasses mix continue |

Scott, I use Actinovate and EXEL LG with molasses as a sticker. Reason for the EXEL LG is it is a contact and systemic fungicide so it is absorbed by the plant and fights disease from within while Actinovate is strictly a contact fungicide. Your alternating Actinovate with Daconil is a good idea as the daconil is a protectant which basically shields the plant from the fungi spores.
One pack of Actinovate should last you a whole season and a pint of EXEL LG if you choose to use it will probably last you 2 seasons. Ami

Amideutch, I remember your posts last year when you recommended a mix of Actinovate and Exel LG. I will do that.
Would it add any protection to add a bit of Greencure to the mix? |

I would stay away from mixing Green Cure with EXEL LG which is phosphorous Acid. You might want to ask the question on the compatability of Potassium Bicarbonate (GreenCure) and Actinovate with Boomer at Natural industies. If he gives you the green light then I would use GreenCure with Actinovate on one application and the next time use EXEL LG and Actinovate.
You want the systemic action of EXEL LG in the mix as Actinovate and Greencure are contact fungicides. Ami
