Default Seedling Status Jan 27 - 100% Germination

Seedlings started Jan 11 are developing very well:

Full germination of each Variety. I start 2 seeds per cell just as a precaution, then will snip the weaker plant after potting up. Just 2 seeds did not germinate but fortunately its cell-mate did.

I've now given them a treatment of Azos:

And they seem to be responding well to it.

I am very happy with the Burpee XL Ultimate Grow System and I think planting the seeds only 1/4 of an inch deep is key to success. My only disappointment has been the attraction of fungus gnats to the coir based grow material - but a focused spray of Docktor Doom takes care of them:

I plan on potting up to Solo cups on Feb 10 and put them back under the lights to further develop.

Crandrew,

I will put the Solo cups outside to harden off approx. March 17; then into their respective EarthTainers on April 1. We are 10 miles from San Francisco Bay so the climate here is somewhat mild.

They're looking nice and strong Raybo. Going to give AZOS a try this year also.

I've added a fan to the setup to strengthen the stems:

I am running it 3 hours per day.
