Pepper seed
After the pepper seeds have germinated & are going under the light do you put them on heat psds or give them the cold treatment like tomatoes ?

I treat them just like tomatoes at that point.

You can certainly treat them like tomatoes, but they do like the heat.
If you have the room on a heat pad, they would probably grow a little faster. If not, they will be okay. |

I've never tested the theory, but I recall being told that they don't like cold treatment and can be stunted by temperatures below 50 when small. I typically leave my peppers in my office until plant out because with the computers in there it stays 75-80 and they seem to do just fine. After they've sprouted I discontinue the bottom heat.
