The Mothership
Prepare to be beamed aboard the monster Mega Marv tomato on one of three Mega Marv plants I have in my lineup this season.
The CC " measurement is 21.1 inches thus far and is continuing to add size. The CC " places it at approx. 3.75 LBS thus far. The photo's and measurement were taken this morning.

Thanks guys!
@ gssgarden, Greg, Seed is Mega Marv. Named after giant tomato grower , PA tomato record holder and author of the book "" Growing Giant Tomatoes "". Dr. Marvin Meisner MD. Seed source is here; http://www.gianttomatoseeds.com/dt_seeds.html His name is Dale and I think he is a member here. He is a giant tomato grower out of Utah. I highly recommend him. Honest man with truthful descriptions and fast shipping. I grow only one tomato per plant and prune the plant to two main stalks. The key is to focus all available nutrients to the growing tomato. I have two more Mega Marv plants with one tomato on each plant that are ball parkish to this size. PM me in a few weeks and I will provide some seeds from one of these three tomatoes for you.

Looks impressive!
The problem with just one fruit per plant is: what if a mishap happens and something goes wrong (God forbid)? Then there's no crop from that plant. How do the giants usually taste - any flavor? |

Thanks you guys!
@ NarnianGarden, With only one tomato per plant you do all you can to ensure that both plant and tomato are in the best of health. Concerning taste, the seeds are rather valuable to the giant growing community so eating any tomato of this size would not be the best thing to do. If you did eat this tomato it would taste like the beefsteak variety that's part of it's parentage.

Some of the wonderful megablooms that appeared to be pollinated, just shriveled and dropped off... Having just one fruit per plant would seem like too much of a risk for me - so many unknown unexpected factors. That's why I try to keep all the blossoms I can get |
