Default Frost

Frost killed off my last two Lemon Boy tomato plants on 4/5 October 2013. This was the real killer frost.

My Son emailed today and said the high temp in Cowley, Wyoming yesterday was 31 and they had snow (skiff...) earliest snow on record, usually not until end of November and the 31 was a record as the closest was 38 for a high in '78...
He is wondering if this portends a nasty little winter...
