Help,what is happening to leaves

This is my first year doing all container growing after moving to high desert(Victorville, CA) and a lot of wind.
Tomato's and hot peppers about 20 right now. I did buy all from a couple stores(Home Depot) in 3 inch pots. Bonnie and some local organic.
They are all in good planters( miracle grow. Kellogg potting mix) and have them above ground on stones 4 inches high with bug spray surrounding them at ground level, so nothing coming from the ground.
They are growing okay but now the leaves are starting to die on some of them.
Some are healthy but not growing much.
Any ideas,

I cannot see your pictures very well. It is only because I am looking at them on my phone and for some reason lately when I am looking at the forum on my phone the pictures are all blurry. On the computer and IPad - everything is great.

I did see you said high winds. The winds, as well as sun/heat seem to play havoc on leaves here in Oklahoma.....where is seems to be windy non stop!!!! Below is a picture of a tomato plant only a few days after planting it in an Earthbox. Now granted it's stalk was extremely long, ordered from an online source, and I could only burry so much of it in the not so deep Earthbox not much room for really deep planting. So the damage is intensified because of this




Like I said an extreme case here, but most all of my plants have been wind whipped, as well as sun/heat, here in the Oklahoma weather. Maybe somebody else that can see the pictures better can help out more. I'll try to look back at this when I can do so from a computer.

Thanks, I have a shed I bring them into when the winds are bad ,25 + mph right now but the wind kicks up some times and they get beat up pretty bad if no one is here to move them..
I will post some more pics tomorrow in better quality.

How are you fertilizing? Have you checked the pH of your soil? What kind of potting soil?

I used mostly miracle grow and Kellogg Organic Plus Raised Bed and Potting Mix with some amend and earthgro organic soil .I add Vigoro plant food once a week. Can you recommend a good PH soil meter see them from $15.00 to ???
The plants are about 2 months old. Everything in 7 to 15 gallon containers. Used rocks and weed blocker on bottom of planter for drainage on some planters

There are five primary reasons that tomato
leaves twist or curl:
• Wind damage
• Herbicide drift
• Herbicide residue
• Broad mite
• Tomato viruses

What have the temperatures been since planting, probably not an issue for your area unless it has been unseasonably cold, how do you water because it looks like in some of the pictures it is only wet right under the plant? Potting mix can really dry out and if the whole container isn't soaked thoroughly then maybe not enough water to the plant?? Agree with the pH question also. After looking at the pictures may not be much wind involvement issue except on the first picture. How much sun do they get? Not a pro here. Possibly a combination of some of things affecting the growth. The leaves that are lower on the plant always seem to be the first to look rough, as they are the oldest.

The temps have been as low as 50 at night and 75 to 90 during the day the last 30 days. They get full sun from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm( With us moving them once a day) . But I do move them in a shed when it is windy.
I see some PH testers for wide range of prices. Any advice

Do the leaves have a very fine stippled pattern? It looks like they do. If so, my guess would be spider mites.

I am going with fungal. Lots of commercial stuff out there. For organic look up Chamomile Tea as a treatment.

Do you also think this is wind damage? Top leaves on several Tomatoes and on Eggplants. Gave a good soaking yesterday, just so dry and windy this month.
