Mushrooms and tomatoes!

Found a nice bunch of Chanterelle Mushrooms this evening. Gary'O Sena in the shot and a really pretty Chanterelle:

very nice! we got a nice haul of chants in when they first came up first week of july, and today i found one under one of our pecan trees, which i haven't seen before, usually under oak trees. how did they taste? looks like the fryer is gonna be workin' overtime!

The mushrooms are beautiful! DId you grow these or find them somewhere (I don't eat mushrooms, but I am fascinated by them!) How are the Gary'O Senas? I haven't read much about them and they are darker than I realized.

you have to find chanterelles, they require a symbiotic relationship with older oak or other hardwood trees, though i've only seen them under oaks until i found that one under a pecan. as far as i know they haven't been able to cultivate chanterelles.

@Rootloops they where excellent but not as plentiful as last year. It rained a lot last year, though.

@mari.beth like Rootloops said on the Chanterelles. I like Gary'O Sena a lot! I think this is the 3rd year I've grown it and it is always tasty and produces great yields of big tomatoes. I'd recommend anyone to try them at least once! Great profile picture you have, btw!
