Default Variety & Taste-Test to Come

I was so happy this morning with my variety of ripe tomatoes. I also picked several pink tomatoes and black tomatoes that need to ripen a bit. My plan is to do a taste comparison to see which ones I want to grow again next year. So, here are pictures of my variety platter, my biggest yet (Italian Heirloom at 1 lb 7 oz), pinks to test (Stump o’ the World, Black Mountain Pink, Dester, 1884, Bear Claw, Brandywine Sudduth, Marianna’s Peace), blacks to test (Black Sea Man, Black from Tula, Paul Robeson – so far none of the Cherokee Purples have ripened). Just for fun, I also included a picture of my breakfast (half Italian Heirloom, half White Tomesol sandwich!)

That looks great! Have fun picking your favorite ones. Most of those pinks are very good. What is the yellow tomato?

Love the Stump! Great tomato. Br Suddath is great too, but can be finicky.
