Plants are starting to look sad!
Hey everyone,
I planted my plants outside and they are all starting to droop over! The days have been between 65-75 and nights in the low 50s They look green and healthy... But they are all drooping I watered that pot yesterday evening, so top looks dry.. But all the plants in my bed are also doing the same. http://imgur.com/a/gZ2KS Any ideas? |

Water 'em again! If the roots haven't had a chance to spread, that little cube of soil that came out of the starter pot needs to be moist. It's probably more compact than the rest of the container, and less water penetrated it. I'd soak the container well early in the day and see how they do. If it's windy, they'll need more water than on still days, too.

If I had to guess, I'd say the answer was no, they didn't get hardened off. Put them in the shade immediately.
Also I see 6-8 plants in that one container. That's not gonna work either. That pot looks big enought for 1, maybe 2 plants if you're squeezing them. |

I also think that you put them in the sun cold turkey.
Another observation: Too many plants in that container, me thinks. |

Thanks everyone for the info.
I placed them in the shade and soaked it (along with my garden bed) I never harden them off... never knew about that this was my first time growing and I figured I could just put them out. They were under a HPS light and with fans blowing on them while growing indoors though. Anyways, should I keep them under the shade for a few days or...? Also, the ones in the picture shown, those were some of the ones that didn't do so well when growing indoors but I didn't have any more room in my garden bed for them, so I just threw them in that big pot to see what will happen. All my plants are looking like that though so hopefully they come back up! Thanks! |

They just need water, twice daily, and maybe a little shade for awhile. |

You'll also need to harden off those already planted out... figure out some sort of shade cover for those.
Also peruse the Growing in Container section here for info for those poor babies. If you actually want to give each one a fighting chance, I recommend some sort of self-watering containers in 5-gallon buckets for each one. If not, depending on the size of that tub, I would let most of them go (or give them away when they've hardened off) and just keep one or two MAX.
