Default Baker Creek - some stray melon seeds...

just wondering if anybody else ever got any stray melon and watermelon seeds in cucumbers or melon seed packs from Baker Creek?

Last year, I ordered some cuke vars, and one pack had 1 stray melon seed inside - it was easy to spot and remove, so no problem.

This year, I ordered a few melon and watermelon varieties - and got a stray watermelon seed in 'Valencia Winter Melon' pack, and 3 straw watermelon seeds (wrong color) in the 'Klondike Blue Ribbon Striped' pack...

Not sure what to conclude...

This doesn't cause a problem for me, since the stray seeds were so easy to spot - wrong plant, or wrong color/size... but I am still wondering what this means...

ANyone had any similar experience?

Other than that, I love Baker Creek and will continue ordering from them every year, they have great selection, and great service, and a lot of seeds in the packs...

I haven't had any stray seeds from Baker Creek. I've had stray seeds show up from time to time in packets from other companies though. Last year a few stray flat-podded beans turned up among the round-podded ones I had planted.

yes Nancy, 'stray' is what I meant - not sure what I was thinking...

I'll edit my post above...

Edited my post too -- do you want to change the word "strawe" above to something?
