Default Container side by side Pro mix

I'm thinking I may do a container side by side comparison and see how ProMix all purpose mixed with promix mycrohizaee compared to a local farm store "veggie potting mix". I'm going to do them in 5 gallon buckets or 7 gallon containers.

What kind of tomato should I use?

Your favorite tomato! I don't know that is really matters. I look forward to your results! Depending on how your watering setup is for the buckets or if it is manual you may want to try smaller fruited varieties, they seemingly are more forgiving if the buckets dry out more than you'd like, at least in my experience.
