Bradley and Rebel Yell were both very good for me this year.
My list of sweet varieties of other colors would include Sweet Sue, KBX, Jade Beauty, Wherowkowhai, Orange Russian 117, and Lucky Cross. |

I agree with Cole. When I first read this thread, I could think of two, and they are Bradley and Rebel Yell.
Bradley produced semi determinate for us I an extremely rainy year. Rebel Yell is an Indeterminate that I planted three plants of. They produced very well in a garden that had an infestation of Root Knot Nematodes. Both Bradley and Rebel Yell are ones I will highly recommend growing. |

Another vote for Rebel Yell!
I also loved Sweet Ozark Orange last year. Last edited by habitat_gardener; November 26, 2016 at 04:08 PM. |

Not a red or pink, but Lucid Gem was really sweet when I grew it last winter.

Koroleva, while not "really" sweet, does possess a fair amount. Productive, relatively compact, and excellent texture. Awarded a permanent spot in my garden. I just talked myself into eating one.

I'll add my new release named "Pappy's Dream" to the list, along with Blue Beauty (antho) and Girl Girl's Weird Thing for multiple colors. "Plan 9 From Outer Space" is also very sweet and is a Yellow/Gold with Red stripes/accents.

Elgin Pink is by far the sweetest pink (or red) slicer I've ever trialed. Only bi-colors and hearts are right up there in sweetness (discounting cherries as non-slicers).

Hmmm. I already have a "tentative List " of about 35 varieties. But now after reading this thread I might get one more. Seems that Rebel Yell and Bradley get high marks.
Now I have to find the seeds. BRADLEY.

I consider Miracle Sweet F1 a really sweet slicer. Not like Sungold, but really sweet for a regular-sized tomato. About 5 oz -- same size as Early Girl. I've grown it before, and I plan to grow it again this coming summer. Seeds still available at Seedsnsuch.com. (BTW, I've ordered from them several times and have been very pleased with the products, prices, and service.)

We considered Aunt Ginny's Purple (a large pink beefsteak) almost too sweet!

Sweet Virginia is sweet and very productive. It can also produce some monsters and unlike many sweets has a decent shelf life. It is a bi-color red and gold. It is the only tomato that I consider a true sweet that I grow anymore because of its good texture, longer shelf life, size and production. It will also make fruit in very hot weather which is another plus down here. Although Virginia Sweet is sweet if you want really sweet I would look at Lucky Cross or Pineapple both of which are just too sweet for me.

After reading you comment I did a quick search and I found this tv thread http://www.tomatoville.com/showthrea...t=25759&page=2 They include: Virginia Sweet Hillbilly Big Rainbow Pineapple Hawaiian Pineapple Striped German Little Lucy Lucky Cross Ananas Noire Orange Russian ....................... and few more .................. There you have it . Want sweet slicer, look into bi colors. So incidentally I have few of them in my 2017 grow list : HILLBILLY, BIG RAINBOW , ANANAS NOIRE. Now I feel a little better. i have grown Ananas Noire for the past 3 seasons and it is one of favorites.

I will have to try Pineapple. I've had Yellow Brandywine that was over the top sweet, but the plant made about 3 tomatoes.
