2017 Seedlings Started
The heat wave we are having this weekend (14°C yesterday) here in Ontario was all the motivation I needed to get things rolling for this years garden.
Planted a variety of tomatoes: tomatillo brandywine beefsteak betterboy purple cherokee tiny tim golden cherry esterina * rapunzel * (*thx heirloomtomaguy for the seeds) Also have peppers started (not up yet), and planted a flat of pansies. I'm trying the dense planting method from nctomatoman, although only 4-6 seeds per cell, (don't need 1000 plants ) Here's a couple pics. (nothing much to see yet.) |

Update:
Peppers that were started 02/12 are starting to pop, I'm surprised how many I got to come up all together yesterday.
Jalepeno, Orange Hab, and Cayenne all up. Planted 5 seeds in each cup, separated out the non central ones as they show up into their own cup. Following the method by Youtuber Khang Starrr. Great information on all stages of pepper growing. |
