Default Flower truss morphs into new lateral shoot

This is something I don't recall seeing before. I have a CP plant in an Earth Box and at the end of a couple flowering trusses, there is new growth and what looks like a lateral shoot. Anyone see this before?

That is actually very common.
I Usually nip it off. So hopefully the energy/food is delivered to the fruits rather than bypassing them.
