These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago - first ripe tomatoes of the season (all started really early in January and grown in cold frames):

You know the rest of us just got our maters in the ground but they sure look great.

The weather has been awesome for over a week so the maters are really taking off.
All of my plants are in home made EB's

Exactly - these are COLD FRAME maters, but I sure like them! My hubby complains that I get tomatoes before cukes... well... even before radishes and lettuce kick in .

my main season crop tomatoes were set out just a couple of weeks ago - some started to flower. Great weather (knock on wood) we had for the last two weeks, it has been hot, and everything took off. I wish we had a bit of rain though...

I cheated last year, and got my first maters around this time, too. Unfortunately, I was too busy this year.

My tomato plants are soaring now.....almost 3 feet tall! No maters yet, but I have blossoms. They look so healthy.....I can hope I'll have a killer year.

I broke down and bought 4 hot house maters the other day. They were ok, but now I want my toms even more!

Yes - that was a perfect warm light rain we've had since last night. I checked out the garden today and I can see everything grew noticeably, even cukes and winter squash . Some main season maters set fruit, it seemed happened over night 8) .

I hope the warm weather stays - and our gardens here will really take off 8) .

Alex, I hope your plants are doing well.

I just finished putting my plants in the ground and in pots. They have spent most of their lives in an unheated greenhouse. They are not big plants. I have 17 left over. I've been trying to give them away. I started over 100 and there's no way that I have room for those that remain. However, the weather has been warm down here too and the plants are starting to perk up. If the weather stays this way, then we'll have a good growing year.

Mine aren't very tall yet, but I do have blossoms on a number of plants. Man I can't wait for those first maters. I'm up in Everett, anybody near me?

I am an hour south of seattle, Bonney Lake, WA. just put mine in the ground memorial day weekend, so I am just seeing them get acclimated. And what the heck was with this 85 degree weather for the past 10 days...ah, rain today and it feels nice.
June and July for me are the get tomato plants happy months, come August things get more interesting..

I'm also an hor South of Seattle in University Place. I also have a lot of Blossoms and I put my plants out in early May using the Walls of water.

Flowers, no visible fruit yet. First one to flower,
oddly enough, was a particularly robust Persimmon
plant (not a Siberia, Stupice, Sasha's Altai, Fireworks II,
or Cougar Red, all of which are supposed to be weeks
earlier and went into the ground at the same time).
A very healthy Market Miracle plant was second.

Odd ducks: an RL plant that came up out of Market
Miracle seeds, an RL and PL that came up out of
the same hole from Galina (yellow cherry), and
another PL from the same Galina seeds that sprouted
by itself.( I don't know whether to give it to the neighbor
that wanted one and let her take her chances with it
or dig up what looks more like a real Galina plant and
give that to her instead, keeping the second PL one
from those seeds myself to see if it is the same as
the one that came up in the same hole with an RL
plant.)

Mixed seeds or F2 from a chance hybrid? If the fruit
is cherry-sized, the unexpected PL plants are probably
F2 plants from a chance Galina cross. If it is significantly bigger than that, the packet probably had mixed seeds,
and they could be anything.
