The houses are charming! The third picture with the church kind of reminds me of Stowe, Vermont, where my sister lives. I guess some of the von Trapp clan is living there, too.

Ami-I lived in Heidelberg for a year and it was beautiful. Only thing I see wrong with your house and surroundings is that you need to rip that grass out and plant more tomatoes.

I guess you don't speak Schwaebisch, then?

I had forgotten how much southern Germany looks like my home here in Vermont. I lived in Bad Nauheim long ago.

Not one cloud in the sky. Not work, not home, not anywhere.

Beautiful area. Interesting house styles.

johno, Nope. But not as bad as the dialect they speak in Hamburg.

mdvpc. Problem is you dig down a foot and you hit sandstone. When we put the fence in we had to haul the sand, cement, mixer, everything by hand up to the back yard. I live on the side of a hill as you noticed in the picture so having a truck drive up to my back yard with a load of top soil isn't going to happen. Most trucks can't even drive up my driveway. So, containers it is plus my surrogate plot at work.

dcarch. We had an exceptional spring this year. Woke up this morning to thunder and lightning with heavy rain. Crazy weather.

Ami-I know the feeling-I live on a mountain in the desert-a few inches down is rock, so thats why I garden in containers.

Looking wunderbar Ami! Ü I love seeing different locations around the world (especially Germany/Switzerland since the paternal side of my family immigrated from there.....~1872).

Well Ami, I had it wrong, i thought English was your first language, aber nein, dass ist nicht so. Wonderful countryside, nice pics, good luck with your crops in this rainy season (it's terrible out here, we had loads of rain),
