Default Tsar's Favorite

Andrey lists TF as a beefsteak, but mine are starting to ripen at about 3-4 oz., on a very compact, semi-indeterminate (4'ft.) plant which is LOADED.

The closest variety I can compare it to is Mountain Princess for plant habit , fruit size, and earliness. The shape and size of the fruit is similar to Silvery Fir Tree.

Does this sound right?

Tsar's Favorite - red-orange, indeterminate, midseason, RL, 3-4 fruit in a cluster, plain-round, up to 1 kg, meaty and aromatic, few seeds, Russian from St.Peterburg.

from his spreadsheet...
sounds like you got the wrong seeds from him.

I think I have seeds for this variety from him too but I never grew
it this season.

You should expect beefsteak type fruits on the first several clusters of Tsarskiy Lyubimets (Tsar's Favorite). Don't know what to say. The seeds for this variety were grown by one of my Belarusian helpers (crossed?)... How about the color and the taste?
