Default CLT

Has anyone else ever tried a clt ( cheese lettuce and tomato) sandwich?

Its made just like a blt but with fried provalone cheese; about a 1/4" slab, fried up until crispy.

I'm a big fan of bacon, but this is really very good.

i always put cheese on my blt however fried cheese sounds fantastic. i've never had a clt though.

actually my fav tomato sandwich is open face bagel with a thick slice of tomato and a piece of cheese on top. a little mayo salt and pepper makes it delish

i will try your version when i get some ripe maters

I can hardly wait! I probably have over 200 tomatoes set, some very large, and not one ripe yet

Eggs and bacon with tomatoes are amazing on a sandwich. I like to use English muffins for the bread.

I would like to add a big DITTO for that statement.

I tried this tonight and it was just great! Sadly, I had to use store bought heirlooms as mine have not come in yet.

I like CLT's. I like plain tomato sandwiches too. Never have liked cooked tomatoes, like on grilled cheese. Sauce and all, of course I like !
I'd get de-forumed if I didn't !

I put tomatoes, onion and hamburger pickles on my grilled cheese sandwiches. I also like to use sharp cheddar or Swiss.
