My Eggplant germination results

Still a bit of data to come in - eggplant seed appears to lose viability a bit quicker than tomato seed. Also, I've not yet gotten the knack for ensuring good germination with saved seed (two 2005 saved varieties are giving me low germination).

I saved seed of black beauty last fall and planted this spring. Came up the fastest of any of the eggplant seed. Plants look better, larger. My eggplant seed all came up this year okay. I have had trouble in the past getting them up. They have all been potted up now. I am new at saving seed. I just spread seed out on paper plate and let dry and bagged. I planted black beauty from seed I bought for 04 and the white and long Asian I bought this year. So I had the four pots.
