Breeding Whites
A few years ago I crossed White Queen and Amethyst Cream. I grew out the F1 of the cross this year. Got a good tasting saladette with some anthocyanin. Used the F1 to backcross to White Queen.
The F1 with one Amethyst Cream for comparison: WhiteQueenXAmethystCreamF1.jpg F1 Cut open: WhiteQueenXAmethystCreamF1Cut.jpg Flavor is very sweet, similar to Amethyst Cream. |

Beautiful.
I haven't grown many whites, but the ones I have were very tasty..equisite. Lotos, Snow white, and this year Dr. Carolyn - the fresh fruity flavor with nuances not found elsewhere. Amethyst Cream was a bit different, more 'antho' than really white / pale. |

WOW! Now that would be a really interesting looking tomato! I can't see your pics anymore but are you growing the F2 this season? How big were they?
