Plant Of The Month
I think I will start a thread on the (Plant Of The Month).
Each month I will post a picture or two of plants around the house. This month it is the shrimp plant. An excellent choice for xeriscaping. I had to move it to get it to bloom but after a month or two is in full bloom. Here it is. And feel free to post any plants you may have too. Worth,
Nice to know the Shrimp plant is drought resistant. I think I will try one next year from the Buffalo Botanical Garden sale that I go to. I was worried they were hard to care for. Levent, Hoya blooms are so neat! I have one, but it is not big enough yet and has not bloomed. Remy

It says it is hardy to 10F but I haven't tried it. I bought two of them last year and planted them in partial shade. they didn't do anything. I sprinkled some fertilizer on them and they both burned back and died. One never came back and the other one did as you can see. About two months ago I moved it to a little more of a sunny place and you can see for yourself how it is doing. I have to stay away from nurseries I am always buying new plants. Some make it some dont. Some get a second chance. I cant even drive by a yard and see a cactus or agave without slowing down. Worth |

I'm only a little abusive to my annuals/tropicals that I plant in pots. If they can survive in TX, they should shine here.
