Default Tiffen Mennonite

Has anyone here grown them? Have a packet from Fedco. Debating planting them since I have limited space.

Yep. "Supposedly" grown by the Mennonites in nearby Tiffin, OH.

My opinion? Eerily similar to Henderson's Ponderosa (as many of these new-fangled named beefsteaks are). Extremely similar in flavor when I've grown them side by side. If you like a good ole fashioned beefsteak, I recommend you grow as you won't be disappointed.

I grow it every few years, very nice flavor like all the other pink potato leaved varieties.

It's nearly impossible to find a PL pink beefsteak that doesn't have great flavor.

I grow it every few years (in a rotation with other P/L varieties) and really like it. Most just under 16 ounces, with very few blossom end deformities, and good production. As others have stated, it's hard to find a large pink P/L that doesn't have good flavor.

I have some Tiffen that showed up as a substitute for another variety that Sandhill was out of. I've been debating as to whether or not I'm going to make space for it.
