Diseased Fruit - Leprosy?
Hi Folks. Have you ever seen this fruiting issue? The condition is only appearing on 1 out of 18 plants. I have been trialing 6 new (for me) varieties of hybrid determinate plants this season. All of the varieties boast various disease resistances. It has been interesting.
Looking closely at the photo, I noticed there is an insect visible. A lace wing perhaps? |

I have had two or three tomatoes look like that in the last week or so, never really noticed this in past years. Not sure what it is.

Thanks Dark Rumor. It's a new one for me as well. I probably should have yanked it out of the ground at first sight but part of me was curious. Hope your garden is going well this year.

It looks like some critters penetrated the skin and fungus are doing its thing.

Thanks RayR. Strange thing is, it is just one plant in a row of 18 plants, Florida weaved, and no other plants showing the same symptoms. I hope your having a good season.
