Default My garden (emphsis on tomatoes)

Pictures of my garden (both sides of the barn)

I use cattle panels on one side of my tomato rows and a T-post on the other. Then I string tomato twine from the panel around the t-post to make a basket. I have not done that yet. I start at the bottom and work my way up. The top will be bigger around than the bottom. Hold the plant up and it's very easy to pick the tomatoes. All of my plants are Parks Whoppers CR except for 4 sweet 100 plants.

I had 30 total plants but a gopher got one of the whoppers yesterday.
For some reason, the pictures came out sideways. Just turn your head at a 90* angle and you'll get the picture (no pun intended).

The soil looks really nice too.

I thought I had already replied that? I must not have clicked the Post Quick Reply button.

Default My Garden (emphasis on tomatoes)

Thanks for looking. Yeah it's kinda tough tilling straight up and down Ha. I like my soil, pretty sandy, drains well, doesn't hold fertilizer very well. I drenched the tomatoes with Texas Tomato Food on Saturday I can already tell it's working. Of course, Sunday morning is when I noticed the gopher/mole got one of my tomatoes. Just pulled it into the ground. I guess they start nibbling at the roots and then just drag it into their secret lair.
