I've used their seeds plenty, last year Big Beef, Elite Hybrid Zuch, and Connecticut Field Pumpkin and all did well. This year Juliet Hybrid and California Wonder Peppers, the peppers came up thick as weeds in a week when I tested them. The packs are usually generous and the prices are some of the lowest on the racks. They can be stingy on the number of hybrid seeds, but they're only like $1.69. The Juliet had over 35 seeds and was $1.59
I like Ferry-Morse. |

Since I cooked a good number of my pepper seeds this Spring I resorted to buying off the rack at Lowes. I bought some FM cal. wonders and something else... they germintaed already from starting them last Sat. They will do fine.
I am sure the early girl is an indeterminate. I would think if it was a det. it would be labeled as such. and lastly the garden leader peppers if they are the same garden leader pepper seeds I bought last year ( I grow to sell) I also bought the tags for the flats... they had the identical picture as on the Big Bertha tags. I buy from Grimes as a wholesale customer and the picture on the site you bought from are not the same pictures. ... so, grow a big bertha next to it and see.

I love their seeds (F M) and always look for them over other companies at the store.

I'm glad to hear that people still like Ferry-Morse seeds. I have not purchased any of their seeds since 2012 at which time NK (Northrup King) purchased FM. NK is owned by Syngenta, a company that I choose not to deal with.

Ferry Morse
In defense of one of the oldest and most respected seed rack sellers in the history of the United States of America, I only have one question and that question is;
How is it possible for Plantation Products and NK (Northrup King) to both own 100 percent of Ferry Morse at the same time? I did purchase Ferry Morse Tall Top Early Wonder beet seeds this year and every one germinated and most of the pellets had 2 seeds in them.Outstanding!! |
