Harvest July 6 - Green Fingers Cucumbers, Romanesco Zucchini, Dragon Tongue Beans, Purple Teepee Beans, Sungold, Flavor Bomb tomatoes



Harvest July 16 - Violetta Lunga Eggplant, Listada De Gandia Eggplant (striped), Patisson Scallop squash, Spudakee Purple, Sungold, Sprite, and Flavor Bomb tomatoes



Harvest July 22 - Brandywine, Sgt Peppers, Buratino, Spudakee Purple, Rainbow Jazz, Orange Jazz, Viva Italia, Black From Tula, Cherokee Green



Harvest July 27 - Armenian, Brown Sugar, Polbig, Captain Lucky, Brandywine, Sgt Peppers, Buratino, Spudakee Purple, Rainbow Jazz, Orange Jazz, Viva Italia, Black From Tula, Cherokee Green, Rosita eggplant

It looks like you are enjoying the fruits of your labor . What is your favorite tomato so far ?

My favorite is Armenian. Year after year it doesn't disappoint. It is a little later than my others, it's not super productive, but I still love it and will never stop growing it. I don't give any of these fruits away.

Form factor: nice heavy in hand beefsteak shape, around +/- 1 pound.
Color: beautiful yellow with red streaks.
Taste: sweet and fruity, never bland.
DTM; advertised 85-90 days. This year, in my garden first ripe was 66 days from plant out. Last year they made me wait 87 days!

Other favorites I grow every single year Brandywine, Spudakee Purple, Cherokee Green, Sungold, Sprite.

I don't think I have grown Prue, though I do remember some talk of it here on tville. Are you growing it or plan to?

I grew 2 plants last year but they didn't produce true to type and I will have to try again if I can find seed that is the real deal. I know this one comes from your area that is why I asked. When you check different seed sources you get different descriptions.

I went back and checked my notes. I haven't grown it, but it was on my tomatoes to try list for years. Maybe I should try it next year. Where did you get the seeds that weren't right?

Beau, Garden Guardian



First ripe Polish Linguisa... with a bite out of it! Grrrr!!!! First time I've grown it. Will wait for the next one to try.

First Kosovo. Grew it last year, but crickets were a problem. So I'm not sure if I even ate one. This will be my first.

I got the seed for Kosovo from Renaissance Farms. I used the last of my seed to get this one plant. I'll need to save seed this year. I guess I should've bagged blossoms. Fingers crossed!

That ripe Kosovo tomato represents triumph over the garden muses who were messing with me. Early July I had this beautiful bunch of 9 tomatoes fall off the plant. I guess it got too heavy at 2lbs. Not sure if an animal messed with it, but doesn't seem likely because there weren't any bites taken. So just a mystery. I was a bit heartbroken to see that. I had been watching that bunch, checking it each day.





Ripe tomato from yesterday's harvest post weighs 1lb 8.9oz.

Kósovo has excellent flavor. Beautiful work on that cluster. I loved how dense they feel in your hand.

I'm an excited to try it. I plan to eat it tonight with my husband. Can't wait!

I grew Kosovo in 2008, 2009, & 2010 and it's back on my grow again list for 2025 and I got the seed already from TGS. Looking forward to growing it again.
