Local Harvest Listing for RARE marmande
http://www.localharvest.org/store/item.jsp?id=4739
Gee, I had no idea this was such a rare variety. I better stock up. $14.99 for 10 seeds. What a deal. (Seeds from Italy charges $2.75 for 300 seeds)

I am sending a note to the Local Harvest admin. It's wrong to take advantage of people who may not have the advantage of truthful information. I understand the need to make a profit but this is over the top and reflects poorly on the trade and the other honest farmers who want to do business on Local Harvest.
Look at the prices for the Black Cherry Toms http://www.localharvest.org/store/item.jsp?id=6142 The company is Catalpa Tree Seed Company.

That's outright price gouging for the uninformed or those new to OP/heirloom tomato growing.
Disgusting.

Yeah, but didn't you notice the 'free shipping'! Darn altruistic of them, eh?

Strawberry rhubarb 5 seeds for $12.99. Eva purple $5.99 for 5 seeds. Black turtle beans and Georgia collards $7.99 for 20 seeds.
This company's prices are outrageous! I don't know if the price for giant sequoia seeds are reasonable. LoreD

Ouch! 43/100 is a pretty bad score, Suze! Can't say I'm surprised though.

I just got 1/4 pound of LA green velvet seeds for 20 some odd dollars.
Thats a lot of seeds. I have purchased from local harvest but only if I thought at the time I had too. The seeds I got were of reasonable prices. They are too expensive on other seeds and I don't like the misinformation. Worth |

Those prices are OBSCENE!
I guess you only need to save the seeds from one black cherry tomato to make money. Jeff |
