Favorite Flint Corn Varieties
I have recently become interested in Flint Corn, after being introduced to it by the folks here:
http://www.oliveto.com/communitygrai...oducts-polenta In looking around for seed sources for other flint corn, I have been surprised that there don't seem to be many flint corn varieties available. Does anyone have a favorite type of flint corn that they grow? |

Fred,
If you ever try hand grinding flint, you will no longer be suprised. Sand Hill Preservation has several varieties. My favorite variety is... www.tradewindsfruit.com/vegetables/japonica_striped_maize3.jpg I'll look through my collection to see what I have, though I know it's mostly sweet, pop, and a bit of dent and flour. Thanks Tormato,
I have never seen so many flint corn varieties! I won't be attempting to hand grind the corn! |
