Say it ain't so...tomato blight?
So I went out to check my tomato plants this morning...and I found this...
Please tell me it isn't tomato blight?? I didn't buy any tomato plants this year...it's the first year I successfully got them from seed to nice growing plants outside (I usually loose them when it's time to harden off). I'll be so upset if it's blight. If it is blight, is it too late? Is there anything I can do at this point to save them? I probably jinxed myself. I just told Remy yesterday that none of my plants were showing blight yet. Had to open my mouth didn't I??

Hi Tara,
Got your email. Late Blight looks moldy and gray instead of yellow and brown. Here's a link with some nice pics from Cornell. http://plantclinic.cornell.edu/Late%...gardeners1.pdf Yellow and brown is more indicative of Early Blight which is not as bad. I get that every year. It usually starts on the leaves close to the ground. Remove those leaves. You either have to spray that Daconil fungicide or get the Bonide copper fungicide. Remy P.S. The weather finally cleared! I wish it had sooner. Brent, the owner remembered Hilde and me from last year. He told me someone drove all the way from Ohio because of my pics! I gave him one of my business cards. Then he left us. He comes back a little while later and says "Great site." He went inside to look at it! Oh and I bought a daylily named after his wife. I told him Remy would be a good name for a daylily. Hopefully next time the weather will be better.
