Winter garden winding down... today's harvest

I grow everything in containers... mostly bootleg earthboxes,
but some large traditional containers too.

The top variety is Orange Heirloom... grown in a traditional container,
which was a clipping from a plant last year.

Towards the right are 2 Red Brandywine.

Towards the left near the shadow of the camera phone is
Uncle Steve's Oxheart.

I'm putting out seedlings for the Spring/Summer garden. I've
already got the Paul Robeson in a bootleg earthbox.

Work has been getting in the way of my gardening so I'm a l'il
late in setting out the other stuff in DIY containers.

I've got several varieties of exotic basils to go with those 'maters
too!

Duane... I put 3 NBD seedlings in one pot... the pot's about
10-gal. They're still small enough to move elsewhere. Do you
think I should?

Only the seedlings in the pot are NBD;
not the pics of the fruit.

I would have to agree with Feldon they do not look like it. I was just pondering NBD last night as it is a monster dwarf. I would not call it a dwarf at all. I am wondering if there is a smaller strain out there. My NBD is already 5 plus feet tall. My seeds were from Victory several years ago. Oh and they seem to have a long time to maturity for me?

Darlette, 3 per 10 gal pot is way too crowded for NBD. I had 1 NBD in a 7 gal pot:

I agree that three is too crowded. I saved seeds from nbd last year and have 3 of them in my garden now. Same seed that I sent Darlette, so Im not sure what may have happened.

I don't proclaim to know about internodal lengths, but the seedling furthest away from us looks like an indeterminate variety. The one on the right looks more like what I'd expect from NBD to me -- broad leaves on a short plant. But those leaves don't look rugose to me, but that may be due to picture quality.

I'd wait and see.

I think Feldon is correct. It doesn't look rugose to me either.
Darlette, do those leaves should look thicker, darker green, and fuzzier than your regular leaf plants? Hopefully, mine didn't cross (didn't bag), but if you'd like to try the seeds I saved, send me a PM or EM.
