Default Portable Thermostat for Heating ...or Cooling

I own four of these babies. They will control: ...heat mats (for your starts), heat lamps (for baby chicks), small electric heaters (for your greenhouse), fans, small air conditioners, freezers (they will turn a small chest freezer into a chest refrigerator), and have many other uses. Although Amazon’s add says cooling controller; they are programmable for heating or cooling with a programmable differential ( down to +-1* ) The temperature setpoint can be anywhere from -30f to +220f. These can also be wired for a 240 vac load. There is also a lockout switch inside that disables the keypad (from inquisitive little fingers).

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation whatsoever with this product, other than being a costumer.

Let me say right off ...they do not come pre-wired! If you are not comfortable wiring an electrical appliance ...don't buy one. But if you are... then you will need to get a short electrical extension cord for the wiring job.

They are currently $46.05 with free shipping.
Amazon has the "ETC Ranco 111000" Digital Temp. Controller

I found this "how to" on Youtube:

Been using those for years there is also another manufacturer that makes an A419 control for similar uses.I use them a lot at work for building coolers and plant growth chambers.
