Thinning the veggie patch
My favorite time in the garden. Everything getting ready to start being picked and less trips to the grocery store.

I laugh everytime I go to the produce dept. People buying all those tastless tomatoes. The only thing I buy is limes for my tea and potatoes.

Lovely platter ... I'm envious, I cannot grow beet type root crops, the flea beetles make lace of the leaves and stunt everything. And it seems odd that they decimate my spinach, but leave the lettuce alone.
