I have some Trinidad Perfumes that have been grown segregated from all the other peppers & I am so enjoying them I would like to save seed from them. Anything special for peppers? Since they don't have the gel the tomato seed has - they don't need fermentation do they? Any recs? TIA

I take them out and put them on a non-coated paper plate (same as tomato seeds and let them dry for 3 or 4 days. After day one, they move easily when you shake the paper plate.

thanks folks! I'll be drying some Trinidad Perfumes for sure!
Say I have another question - when fermenting tomato seeds to have the gel layer eaten off - is there a too long for soaking them? It took FOREVER for some seeds I got from Tomatopalooza to get the mold mat going. If the seeds are firm & don't go to smush when I rinse them in my wire mesh thingie, then they are still viable? Hoping, fingers crossed.... |
