Online Sources for Gardening Tools
I am looking for Online Sources for Gardening Tools - such as shrub rakes (metal not the plastic types) and other gardening tools that are built to last (like metal not plastic).

salix thanks looked and could not find a shrub rake gave them a call and they said they didn't have them but had something called a wire head rake in sizes 6" 9" etc.
They do have some really nice built tools thanks for the info. The local Wal Mart only sells the plastic shrub rake and year before last I bought one and it lasted about a month - Lee Valley have a lot of nice metal made garden tools, |

I would check and see if there is an old hardware store in your area. I've bought some really high quality tools from a very old hardware store in our town and seen them in some of the stores in surrounding towns in the past. Lowes, Home Depot, Ace and Sears sometimes have some good lawn tools. Good ones are usually a lot more expensive and usually worth every penny.

habitat_gardener thanks for the link
b54red thanks for places to look for quality made tools - maybe cheaper than the new throw aways. Quietman thanks for the link. Found one there. Here's a picture of the shrub rake (funny the shrub rake they have listed as a shrub rake is a wire rake head anyways this is what I know as a shrub rake) |
