Default Hitting our stride!

Well, if my garden was a high powered racing machine, we'd be in third gear and ready too shift into 4th. Not quite overdrive yet, but the straightaway isn't far off!

Black cherry and Sungold

Table is getting full!

And how are those handome fruit tasting for ya? How would you rate the flavor of the JD, Carbon, & CP so far?

All three are far and above most any tomato you could ever eat.

CP wins the race for its texture...it is almost creamy like a piece of flan or maybe some thick cheesecake. Earthy and smoky taste...deep.

The Carbon is excellent as well...very juicy and a bit milder in flavor than CP.

JD's wins for being earlier than the other...flavor is up there close to CP, but a bit more watered down I thought.

Also in the pic of the blacks off to the right is an Aunt Ruby's German Green...that thing smacks you in the mouth with a bite of citrus and acid...I don't think I'll eat many of them plain, but they are fun to grow.

This is the first GWR I've grown...I don't think I'll be trying a lot more of them. My lips are just now coming unpuckered!

Grew Aunt Ruby GG last year and loved it. Maybe we left it on the vine a little longer or our taste buds are different. Used it in fresh salsa with red, pink and yellow gold tomatoes for a treat. YUM!
