Red Taxi Cross Update

Some of you may recall an earlier post I submitted concerning some seed that I had saved from Tomatopalooza 05. The tomato was labeled Taxi “cross or mutant”. I remember it being small to medium size and red. At the end of the day there was one left over that had not been sliced, I took this one home and saved the seed.

I grew it out this year and most of the fruit are clearly heart shaped. The plant is vigorous and is producing heavily. The leaf too is a little different from everything else I’m growing. The texture is smooth and the shape is a somewhere between a regular and potato leaf.

Anyway just wanted to share this with you all.
