preacher joe

I have been watching my BW and cowlicks so much I all most over looked this preacher joe this morning.
Nice 11 ounce. Seed came from Darlene and i think one jump from Camo.
Just now starting to get fruits ripe, but many are deformed from nasty conditions, so appreciate the looks of this one. Only have the one plant.

Bad fingers this morning. I mean that the other varieties are deformed so I appreciate that the peacher joe is not.

That picture doesn't look at all like Preacher Joe, its a red tomato with slightly orange colored shoulders. I think even unripened, it doesn't look that way. Last year I placed Preacher Joe behind Tarasenko6 (another very good red tomato), as far as taste. In the past I grew Boxcar Willie and Red Brandywine as my favorite reds, but dropped both of them this season in favor of Tarasenko6 and Preacher Joe.
Still favor pinks, like: Cowlicks, Barlow Jap, Brandywine-Glicks, Mrs Benson, Earl's Faux, Sandul Moldovan, Dora, and Stump of the World; and Blacks like: Dana's Dusky Rose, Amazon Chocolate,Jd's Special C-Tex, Black Master and looks like Bear Creek will be joining that list like Liz Birt is joining the pinks. I hope it tastes good!
