Jackson & Perkins, Jackson & Perkins Wholesale, Park Seed and Park Seed Wholesale all will be auctioned off August 23, and an initial bid has already been submitted for $7.1 million.

i hope park's continues to carry county fair cucumber. while their service stinks on ice, they are 1 of the very few to carry county fair.

Park Seed Co. has been purchased through auction by private equity firm Blackstreet Capital of Chevy Chase, Md., for $13 million.

More background on how the parasitic Hachenbergers bled the company dry while playing the shell game with debtors to the point that the bankruptcy trustee couldn't figure out which subsidiary owed which creditor money.

Apparently the purchaser of Park Seed has agreed to keep the company in Greenwood for three years and retain the 200 employees.
It would seem most of the complaints registered against Park Seed on this forum were the result of an action or lack of action by one or more of the employees of Park Seed. If the investment by the buyer can be earned back, the company will need to rebuild it's reputation. Can that be done with the same employees who were causing the problems? Ted |
