Taste only!!

I love lists. I love when people post their planting lists. I love top ten lists.
Now, to feed my addiction to lists, I would like to see some lists of your
top five tastiest tomatoes. Not caring about color, size disease resistance,
productivity, or any criteria other than taste. Which five, in which order
taste the best to you. I will post my five but have a strong feeling that the
majority will have different views and I will concede that I am certain that one
year from now, my list will likely be different from now. So, here goes in the
order of my preference.

Cherokee Green
Kosovo
Momotaro
Marianna's Peace

I could have said the best 20, but I like to frustrate myself and others and
force us all to narrow it down. Remember.......taste only is the criteria.

Everyone's taste palate is quite different. Having said all that, here are my personal Top 5:

Two of them aren't in any catalog -- Croatia Joanna YMCA and Sicilian are local heirlooms I got at seedling sale to benefit the Sequoia YMCA in Redwood City. Sicilian sounds like a generic name, but the sign said it came from Pat Infantino (my notes say MG--family seed which may mean Pat I. is a master gardener and/or it came from Pat I.'s family via an MG connection).

I grew about 15 varieties this past year, and bar none it was Ferris Wheel that was the best. I can't believe this variety isn't more popular. Maybe just too many others that are similar? Large, and a wonderful blend of tangy and sweet. It wasn't very prolific though. Got about 10 fruit. They were all around 12-16 oz.

I was doing good with 4/5 on most lists being already planted, but Container Ted and wife
spoiled that again. Back to Tania's website and the seed catalogs. Looks like I will have
to build yet another floating dock in Canada. Is there no end to wonderful varieties? Oh well, doing all this research will keep me out of the bars. lol
