Default Large Amish Paste - (UPDATED - PICS)

After posting it in another thread -
Thought I would post it here:
Out of all the fruit on my Amish Paste,
this plant produced a huge fruit !
Its smooth so far, so it
may not be a fused blossom ~
All the rest of the fruit are
normal size (as seen in top right)
Cool huh ???
Will take more pics, when ripe ~

~ Tom

I had a few giant tomatoes like that on my Amish Paste plants last year. If I remember correctly, the big 'uns showed up late in the season...just barely ripened before cold weather came. If it helps any, my big guys didn't come from fused blossoms either. I thought perhaps my seeds had come from an accidental cross but now I wonder...

The very first tom on my Amish paste looked just like that one! It was about the size of a softball. All the fruits since have been typical paste shapes.

This is considered a paste tomato? Looks like a nice juicy slicer. Nice looking tomato!

geol ~

Don't let the name fool you -
Amish paste is normally a quite
juicey tomato ....
Nothing like Oplaka, ect. ...
This was just one that exceeded its
growing potential, and took off on me !
The rest are 5 - 8 ounces , and oblong ~
