Has anyone tried County Agent?

This is a new one for me this year and I'm pleasantly surprised. Nice large beefsteak that has a very good flavor.It is very productive and ripens at about 75 days. I don't understand why this one is not a commercial variety.

My first year growing it....It looked super early on, but 5 weeks of 90 stopped it cold. I have one fruit set among 2 plants, and its neighbors are loaded w/tomatoes.
I sent my mom some seedlings and I will be in that part of the state over the weekend and can't wait to try hers!
I plan on planting again next year, as it really was a strong, healthy plant loaded w/blossoms.

I have seed, but havent grown it from sandhill. If it doesnt like heat, I would be in trouble. How tall/wide have your plants gotten, everyone?

Mine are about six feet tall and four feet wide. They have seen several trple digit days but do get afternoon shade from a couple of huge Tidwell German plants.

Michael....I am not sure it doesn't like heat. My mother is in a hotter area than I, but she did get her plants in the ground a few weeks before me , and perhaps got fruit set early.
My seedlings remained stout and short for a long time....so long in fact, I placed an extra in my cold frame. They did not stay small unfortunately. Both my plants are vary unruly and sprawling. Perhaps I will try it in a container next year to try and check it up some!

Sorry to be slow chiming in, but bogged down in tomato harvesting and not much computer time.

Yes, Keith's right - I really like this tomato. It has stood up well to a miserably hot summer here and set fruit really well. The fruit is large, relativly blemish free and has a great mix of sweet/tart. It's meaty and dense, but plenty juicy too. Babble, babble, babble - it's relly good!
