Seed supplier update

I would like to update my seed and suppliers listing with current info. If anyone has a suggestion of a good seed seller, please post a link to their website and I will add it to the page. I specifically would encourage suggestions of ethical sellers.

There are a few bad apples that I refuse to list. There are a couple currently on the list that will be removed because of poor customer service reviews. If you have a negative review of any seller on my current list, please give a careful statement of the problem encountered. Keep it factual. State "this is what I requested" and "this is the result".

I am also open to listing the websites of contributors on this forum. If you have a seed business and would like to be added, please post a link to your website and clearly state that you are the proprietor. I do NOT want to turn this thread into a form of advertisement and the moderators will not permit it so please keep it simple.

Gurney's and Henry Fields were 2 of the businesses that went bankrupt a few years ago and did not deliver to a lot of people. They are trying to rebuild the business. I will wait another year or two before considering them again.

I second the Twilley recommendation. I ordered pepper seeds from them this spring and I was very happy.

I've made yearly orders to both Gurney's and Henry Fields for several years now. (I usually order just over $50 from each to take advantage of their perennial discount.) Gurney's Gotta Have it! sweet corn is to die for. BTW, are they both owned by the same company? I notice a lot of similarities in the offerings and write-ups, as well as the discounts.
PS - I have always been satisfied with the service and products I ordered from these companies. I didn't know about their bankruptcies, and I certainly never experienced any lag in service as long as I've been ordering from them. I also order from a bunch of other companies, mainly Fedco and Johnny's, but I like to spread the joy around, depending on who seems to have the best deal at the time.

Here is some background on Gurney's

In 1991, Gurney's was purchased by a private direct marketing firm own by Don Krumel. The business was then sold to Foster & Gallagher, Inc., of Illinois in 1999. Foster & Gallagher, Inc. purchased a lot of the old, well established company names - Breck's Bulbs, Henry Field's, Michigan Bulb Company, New Holland Bulbs, Spring Hill Nursery, Stark Brothers, Garden Solutions (an online storefront featuring Brecks, Spring Hill, Henry Field, Gurneys, and Stark Bros).
They closed up Gurney's and left Yankton in May of 2000, severing a 118 year tradition and deep connection with the town.
In July of 2001, Foster & Gallagher, Inc. filed for bankruptcy. On October 26, 2001, a new company, Scarlet Tanager Holdings, LLC, owned by Niles Kinerk, located in Greendale, Indiana, emerged as the owner of the registered trade name of Henry Fields (as well as the other Foster & Gallagher, Inc. holdings).
