German Queen is really nice. I prefer it to Brandywine Sudduth's although they are similar.

I'd say Marianna's Peace, so far.

Barlow Jap, Big Cheef, Brandywine Cowlicks, Brianna, Earls Faux, Lincoln Adams, Lindas Faux, Lithuanian, Malinowy Olbryzm (though it did not perform well in this years heat), Mariannas Peace, Toedebusch Pink, and Terhune. I have not had the chance to try African Queen from the up-north garden, but she is getting rave revues. Both Granny Cantrells German Pink and Purple Dog Creek have had potato leaf seedlings and I have selected for that and will continue to grow those out. Fruits are identical to the regular leaf varieties.

How many different Brandywines did you try before you settled on those? What do you like about them specifically, compared to other Brandywines? I think I like Brandywine the best for flavor, and I want to try them all. But it would be easier to start with other peoples' picks. Thanks.
Also, what traits do the PL varieties share in common? Or do they not have anything in common besides the leaves? |

Lincoln-Adams laughed at the heat and diseases here this year and produced nice tasting 1.5 to 2 lb fruits on an incredibly vigorous vine. Definitely planting it again.
