wrinkled?
Hi there! What would cause a tomato to wrinkle while still on the vine? I have some green/white striped ones, some of which are wrinkled. I thought - Oh! These must be ripe and the wrinkled ones must be over ripe. But, I cut one and it is really bitter/sour so I can't believe they're ripe. Would the overnight temps we've been lately (50's) do that?

Could be under watering, huh? This is in an EB and I didn't realize it had gone dry.

I had sun scald and it caused my tomatoes to turn an off color and wrinkle a bit. But I'm not sure how common that would be this time of year.

At the beginning of the season, I had one plant that had a wrinkled tomato. It turned out to need extra water, and when I gave it a nice deep watering the tomato in the picture plumped back up. I had never seen this before! Did yours look anything like this? This tomato went on to ripen and be just fine!

Yep Robin it looked exactly like that. And mine plumped back up too when I gave them extra water. Go figure!
