Default Latest harvest and canning pics

This is now a MUST for us!
Cukes, banana and jalapeno peppers mixed and done Bread & Butter style but with only half the ammount of sugar called for in B&B recipe.
Great on sandwiches or just for snacking!

Oh man I love bread & butter pickles, especially hot ones! Great for snacking or on a tomato sammich and even better on a bbq brisket sammich. Those pics of the jars got my mouf' all watery.

That looks good. Never thought of doing a mix of peppers and cucumbers, and I've got a lot of cucumbers to use. Do you have a link to the recipe you used (me not knowing anything about making B&B pickles). Thanks!

Mixing peppers, cauliflower, cukes, green tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, onions, carrots, okra, radish, eggplant, turnip/rutabaga are all good ingredients in "mixed pickles"....lots of other items too....you can use your imagination.
