Default Disapering mater plants.

Went out to look at my plants and found 12 missing (Cherokee Purple & Eva Purple Ball). Mortgage Lifter and five out of six habanero peppers still there. Don't know what happened to the missing plants. But I suppose it is to late to get new plants so will have to see what the fall group of plants do.very bummed.

One would think that planted in the ground would qualify as "tied down" but anymore.... who knows. We've had flowers near the road stolen, planter and all, and we live in a rural area. That same year, they stole my little crab boat I fixed up off of a craigslist freebie

Kevin, if you get time to replant others, put a little sign next to them - GMO test plants - wash hands after handling
If the thieves can read, I'll bet you won't lose any more plants. in place. In fact, leave the sign up when you have ripe fruit.

Even better, given the proximity to the govt army base, something more extreme, like "Warning: Test Plants for Chemical Toxicity Evaluations. Not for human consumption"

Alternately, it may be that the same thing that insists on stealing all my mittens, but only the right handed ones, has decided to spend spring down in TX. Either way bummer. But wont your growing season allow you a pretty long window? Or will it get too hot for them? I'm just thinking up here plenty of folks wont get to put anything in until late May and we still manage maters out of our season before frost hits.

Heh you can tell that I'm city folk because I assumed thieves straight away.

We had a 4' jade plant stolen from in front of our flat in SF. And more puzzlingly, I had a Weber kettle grill stolen from in front of my apartment in Brooklyn--WHILE LIT!
