Houston-area check-in after The Semi-Great Flood

Some folks around here took a huge beating over the weekend, as parts of the Greater Houston area received up to 8" of rain with isolated patches of golf-ball-sized hail. This is a check-in to see how folks weathered.

Me: Missouri City got 8" of rain. I am now doing the happy dance that I actually built raised beds this year. Everything of mine looks fine, but I'll need to watch the squashes for signs of "going Hulk."

Roy and Shelly (some of you know them): they had hail at their place. I won't repost the picture of the otherwise-innocent Kosovo that got chopped in half by the hail. Their crops took a beating.

Westbury Community Garden: widespread devastation. I think they got completely underwater at one point, but am not sure. The hail did fall there, judging from the photos I saw.

I live between Spring and the Woodlands and got lots and lots of thunder, but maybe only 1/4 inches of rain at the most.

I'm in The Woodlands and we got a couple of inches, at least according to my rain buckets.

Everything looks fine. It's beautiful out there now and I am still stuck inside with a head cold. Grrrr.

We made it OK here in Cypress. Lots of rain and an oil tank blowing up but the plants are doing well. Enjoying this cool spring. Makes for great crops.

Two miles west of the Galleria I got 3.1" of rain and a few tiny ice projectiles. My plants are just starting to set fruit in mass and seemed to enjoy the downpour.

I am on near north side just outside 610 we had a plenty water, but no ice.
This coming weekend may be a sleeper for the northside people . I had some cukes that got frost bit the weekend of 20th april, just lucky that i hadn't uncovered my maters all the way. But they are uncovered now
