How long do Exel LG and Actinovate need to be on plant?

Anyone know how long a foliar of Exel LG and Actinovate combined needs to be on the plants before you can spray something else? Can you spray them one day, and foliar feed the next?

Michael, Exel LG yes but Actinovate you would need to get a read from Boomer at Natural Industries. Is the question in regards to your plants that are being grown in the Greenhouse?

No, my new plants are now outside in either swc's or root pots. I am thinking about mixing the Exel LG, Actinovate and a kelp together and just spraying once before I leave for a few days. Any idea if that is ok?

I don't see any problem. But using molasses versus kelp might be a better choice with the Exel LG and Actinovate. Ami

I use actinovate, Exel and Molasses one day, then Neem Oil and molasses the next the next day. I didnt seem to have any problems and they worked wonderfully.

Just a guess but Molasses provides a sugar(food) for the microbes- and a sticky?

Michael, when using the Actinovate/Exel LG I prefer the Molasses as it does act as a sticker plus it also has a NPK of 1-0-5 plus potash, sulfur and many trace minerals.

I do my foliar feeds opposite the Actinovate/EXEL LG and Azoxystrobin for disease control. For the Azoxystrobin I use Coco-Wet for my wetting/spreading agent and normally make four applications per growing season.

Hope this isn't a hi jack, but I have question about Exel LG/Actinovate. I applied some yesterday to what I believe was a fungal issue. Today, I have a fair amount of leaves that turned brown. Some plants that I thought were healthy only have a very few brown leaves, those that I knew were affected have a bunch of brown leaves. It almost reminds me of what leaves have looked like when I knew I had a gray mold and sprayed Bill's bleach solution, but the brown leaves not as wide spread as the bleach spray caused. Is this an indicated of the action of Exel doing its job? Did I over apply and burn the leaves? I did use a new solo sprayer for the first time (outstanding tool!). Never seen this reaction before, though I have used this product combo for 3 years now. Thanks.

Last year, I had some edge burn on tomato leaves that had Exel LG applied heavily to runoff. No problems if applied lightly. Of course never spray anything in the sun, only in early morning or in the early evening.

Thanks Ray...and I did spray about 2 hours prior to the plants getting any sunshine on them. I've attache a pic that shows their condition about 12 hours post spray.

Yep, the burn along the leaf margins looks the same, new growth will suffer more damage. It is an acid after all which can cause phytotoxicity just like a caustic alkali like bleach. Keep the dilution ratio and the frequency of application within the recommendations and don't apply it so heavily that it beads up in between the trichomes. Tomato leaves have lots of those.

I would limit it to 1 ounce per gallon max

I used between 1 and 2 ounces per gallon, as per the instructions. The difference could be that I used a solo sprayer (first time as I just got it) and I sprayed it to the point of running off. Maybe that was too much? Strangely though, I also have a dirt garden that I sprayed as well and it only had a few leaves on a few of the plants that show any browning like this. Agreed that something isn't right...now what to do about it? Thanks Ami!
