I mixed up my seedlings!!
Hi, I planted tomatoes from seed for the first time a few weeks ago, indoors in individual little containers on two separate trays. I have two varieties, both are heirlooms: Apricot and Big Rainbow. Unfortunately I was careless when I moved them outside yesterday, and have mixed them up . Can anyone suggest a tip or trick for me to tell them apart? Leaf colour variation, perhaps?? I ask because I can only keep 2 due to lack of space, and am giving the rest away to friends/family, and I want one of each. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Allison |

According to Tatiana's site, Apricot is potato leaf and Big Rainbow is regular. . . so you lucked out. It should be pretty easy to tell them apart. Apricot will have broader leaves with fewer points. This year I started tomatillos from seed for the first time. One germinated a week earlier than the other two, and grew much faster. It took me a month to figure out I'd somehow gotten a cosmos seed in with the tomatillos!

Thanks so much, Stowaway! I'll google them to see the difference. I have noticed that about half of them are light green, while the others are a deeper, bluish green. So the shape will help me out. Hooray!!

Tatiana's website is awesome, a lot of valuable info and she has varieties in her catalog that you can't find anywhere else in the U.S.
